Apple has launched iPad next Gen models with Apple M2 processor in India. The company’s latest iPad models are optionally equipped with 5G connectivity, which includes mmWave support in the US as well as high-speed Wi-Fi 6E. Apple has launched this iPad with iPadOS 16 in two sizes, 11-inch and 12.9-inch.

The new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available in Silver and Space Gray finishes with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB configurations.

iPad Pro (2022) Price

The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 81,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 96,900 (US) for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. Similarly, the price of 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 112,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 127,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

iPad Pro (2022) Specifications

Apple has used its M2 SoC in these iPads. The M2 SoC was first unveiled earlier this year with the MacBook Air. iPad Pro (2022) models support up to 16GB of unified memory. The new media engine is capable of ProRes video capture for the first time on iPad. The iPad Pro (2022) model has an 11-inch and 12.9-inch display. The 11-inch model is equipped with a Liquid Retina display with 1688×2388 pixel resolution.

While the larger 12.9-inch model sports a Liquid Retina XDR Mini-LED display with 2048×2732 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Like its first iPad, the iPad Pro (2022) model features a 6K resolution display with Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and a USB Type-C port. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3.

The 16-core Neural Engine with CPU and GPU can process 15.8 trillion operations per second – 40 percent more than the M1 – making iPad Pro even more powerful when the machine is running. The M2 chip also has 100Gb/s of integrated memory bandwidth – 50 percent more than the M1 – and supports up to 16G of faster integrated memory. The new iPad Pro also supports the fastest Wi-Fi connection with support for Wi-Fi 6E.

The M2 features an 8-core CPU – up to 15 percent faster than the M1 – with advancements in both performance and efficiency and a 10-core GPU, delivering up to 35 percent faster graphics for the most demanding users.
